The Green House is a Vegetarian Bed and Breakfast, 5 mins. from the heart of 'Art Deco' Napier city, New Zealand, yet surrounded by trees in a bush like setting. We aim to provide a peaceful base for you holiday, in a SMOKEFREE environment.

Your hosts are Ruth and Jeremy, originally from Somerset, England, but based in Napier for several years.

Our interest include walking; genealogy, gardening and travelling and the Internet... eamail access for guests!

The Green House comprises a separate guest floor with 3 double rooms, 1 ensuite and ample parking. We also offer an evening meal by arrangement, and snacks if required.  We are happy to provide transport to and from Airport/Buses etc. and , having lived in Napier for 9 years, can suggest places to visit, restaurants, etc. Our home is set amongst woodland with plenty of Native birds to be heard, we also have a view of the sea, and Cape Kidnappers in the distance.

• Breakfast,including homemade breads and preserves,fresh fruits and juices is included in the price.

'Art Deco' Napier

Devastated  by an Earthquake in 1931, Napier was rebuilt in Art Deco style, and many of it's buildings have been renovated in recent years, making the Art Deco tour one of the 'must do' visitor attractions. Tours to the Gannet Colony at Cape Kidnappers is another attraction and Hawkes Bay is famous for it's many Wineries and Vineyards. More recently, Olive trees have been planted, making locally produced Olive Oil a new and welcome addition to our bountiful fruit production. We use local produce as much as possible in our kitchen.

There is a wide variety of cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance, and the beach is only minutes away!
