We offer various choices, from charming tents and an idyllic mud hut on the beachfront, to luxurious cottages at a higher elevation that offer panoramic vistas of the forest, beach and Arabian Sea. All 19 units have unique views, all witness to an eternity of waves cresting and washing ashore in majestic progression. Each unit is independent of its neighbours, while maintaining complete privacy with individual entrances, walkways, bathrooms and toilets.With 200 meters of beach frontage, every unit has generous open spaces around it, providing a tranquil and peaceful ambience.
For those who prefer their sea breeze au naturel, we recommend our tents and the adjacent mud hut, which have ample window coverage to extract the most ventilation possible, while preserving the splendid view. We also have several non- A/C cottages and step- cottages located a short uphill walk away!
Tents and the Mud Hut
Closest to the sea and right at beach level, the nine tents at Sai Vishram are spread across a wide swathe of beachfront, and offer the most “outdoors” feel. The word “tent” really does not do justice, for these cosy quarters have shaded patios with furniture, interiors with 2 beds, a fan, lighting and power outlets. Right behind each tent is an intimate, private backyard garden, with attached bathroom and toilet, fully equipped with all amenities. Each tent features lockable doors and mosquito netting on doors and windows, not to mention beautiful landscaping all around!
The Mud Hut is a rustic creation that brings the local flavour to our guests. Artistically painted “rangoli” patterns grace its cool, breezy interior, while the private backyard encourages you to soak up the rays!
Step Cottages
Secluded and inviting, the non-A/C Step Cottages are breezy and tempting, inviting you to spend leisurely hours just soaking in the serene ambiance.
Air-conditioned Cottages
Set on a gentle hillside, yet a minute’s walk from the beach, our A/C cottages are unique and each one offers a different take on the tradition coastal architecture. Embellished with several local touches in the form of paintings, murals and objets d’art, your senses will have plenty to feast on!
Bhatkal House
Resembling a traditional Konkan villa, Bhatkal House is exquisitely furnished to give you a sumptuous living experience.
Earth Cottage
With construction reminiscent of historic earthen dwellings, Earth Cottage is all about serene moments overlooking the seascape in the cool, airy balcony.
Water Cottage I and II
Beautifully appointed and comfortably furnished in local style, both Water Cottages feature remarkable aesthetics and vistas…just the ticket when you need to get away from it all and get back to Nature!
Sun Cottage
Created to bring Nature closer to you than ever, the couples-only Sun Cottage lies on 3 levels, with a sun-kissed plunge pool between the spacious bedroom and a delightful living room with fabulous views!
Your tariff includes morning and evening beverages and all meals are served in common dining areas. We provide a very informal atmosphere and encourage you to interact with other guests. We do not offer room service as our natural settings encourage insects and household pests.
Vegetarian buffet meals are served and our chefs cater to both north and south Indian meals, highlighting South Canara cuisine. We support the locally grown produce as far as possible.
