Hotel Les Fleurs **

is a small hotel (17 rooms) situated at the city-entrance
of La Bourboule, at a height of 850 m on the riverside of the Dordogne, in the heart of the Volcans d'Auvergne Regional Natural Park.
This unspoilt and protected region extends over an area of 395,000 hectares.
La Bourboule with its thermal baths, warm water springs and pure air, has long
been known as a health spa.

NATURE
The mysterious mountain chains of extinct volcanoes, the rounded slopes,
sparkling waterfalls and clear crater lakes that together form the beautiful backdrop around La Bourboule, offer a surprising variety opportunities to
enjoy healthy, active recreation in every season of the year.
It is an excellent walking area.

DORDOGE
The Dordogne has its source 10 km from the town, at the foot of the Puy du Sancy, the highest mountain of Central France ( 1886 m.)
Two small streams, the Dore and the Dogne, converge here and flow further as one of the most famous rivers of France, the Dordogne.

CULTURE
During your walks you will be amazed at all the remains and artefacts from times long past. Nowhere is the cultural heritage so well preserved as here,
in the land of the "Avern" the "land of the tops" as the Celts called this area.
Romanesque art in the Auvergne is of a unique beaty and soberness, as witnessed by the romanesque churches of Saint-Nectaire, Issoire and
Orcival ( 12th century)
The old Roman foothpath to the top of the Puy de Dôme leads you to the imposing ruins of the Gallo-Roman temple dedicated to the god Mercury.
Every valley has its legend.
Villages from the Middle Ages are practically unchanged.

In the castles and fortresses of former days are now the venue for concerts
or exhibitions.

Also south, behind the hotel, a terrace and a garden at the riverbank of the Dordogne.
