Snughollow Accommodations
The perfect place to experience the unforgettable magic of things still wild and roaming”

THE COZY CABIN is a restored chestnut log cabin and is very comfortable with a downstairs log living room/couches, writing desk and an upstairs bedroom with two full beds, 2 single beds (handmade quilts and featherbeds), commode/basin and a great view. The tin roof makes even a rainy vacation special.

The cabin addition is a spacious sunny room with a partial kitchen, fridge, microwave, teapot, coffeepot, blender & crock-pot. This room has a dining table and a nice sunny sitting area with a great view of the farm and horses. There are two single beds tucked in the corner by the windows, a futon couch (bed), and a bath/shower.

The cozy cabin is furnished with comfortable, country furniture/books, radio, and antiques. We don’t have air conditioning but the cabin has lots of fans, shady windows and breezes. It has a deep, covered, private back porch. The cabin is only about 50 feet from the main house but is very private. It will sleep 7-9 comfortably with 2 sitting areas (reunions or family vacations) or is very cozy for one couple. (Guests are welcome to enjoy the farmhouse amenities as well)

THE FARMHOUSE offers southern comfort, with living room, dining room, sunroom, library, porches and actually the whole house is open to guests.

THE PEARL is a spacious upstairs bedroom with a king bed and two singles. It has a private bath and opens on to a large private porch in the trees that overlooks the farm. We don’t have air conditioning but there are ceiling fans, porches, window breezes and more fans.

THE SWEETIE is also upstairs with a queen bed and an adjoining room that has 3 singles. The “Sweetie” has a private bath and opens on to the upstairs library. It has a wonderful view of the sunrise and mountains. The farm is 3oo acres of unspoiled beauty with deer, horses and wild turkeys. It is quiet, with lots of stars and a night sky.

We offer “supper” during the winter months of homemade soups, breads, salads and desserts, served around 6:30 pm. Weekend dinners are by reservation and delicious. (I am the cook) and we serve vegetarian fare with lots of our food grown on the farm. Sample: Homemade pizza, eggplant parmesan, vegetable pot pie, macaroni & cheese. Homemade breads and desserts are also a plus. Our breakfasts are yummy and may consist if either pancakes/gingered bananas, crunchy oatmeal-cornmeal waffles, smoked cheddar omelets, homemade biscuits & gravy, fresh fruit smoothies, coffee and tea.

I have a Jack Russell dog, Hillary who thinks everyone has come to see her and there is no TV. Our seasons are spectacular. There are fields of wildflowers and wildlife and a sky full of stars for entertainment and hopefully time for good conversation. We do have board games, music and a good selection of books for all ages, also roaring fires in the fireplace. The house and cabin have great views of the mountains, horses and the hollow is very quiet (the only sounds are of birds and the wind).

We are located near Irvine and Berea and very close to Tater Knob Pottery, also about 35 minutes from the Red River Gorge/Natural Bridge State Park and Renfro Valley Music Hall.
