The Wave - Secret Canyon
The Secret Canyon known as “The Wave” is a unique natural wonder rock formation. This breathtaking day hike through the beautiful North Butte area provides lasting memories of colorful sandstone domes and swirling carved canyons. This day trip is a challenging hike through the wilderness of Paria Canyon to one of the most scenic and frequently photographed areas of the west.

Distance: 6 miles round trip
Terrain: Rocks, sand and elevation changes
Difficulty: Moderate to Strenuous

Zion National Park Day Trips
Zion National Park, located within an hour of the Resort, offers a spectacular colored tapestry of azure sky and towering red rock monoliths. These panoramic geological formations and towering cliffs, combined with beautiful foliage and wildlife, are the settings for a diverse array of amazing hikes and beautiful photographs throughout the park. You can't come to southern Utah and not experience Zion National Park!

Rock Climbing
Private and group instruction led by experienced professional climbers. Go vertical as you challange not only your physical strengths but also your psychological strengths to scale new heights at the largest outdoor climbing park in the nation. It makes no difference whether you are a first time climber or one that has climbed many routes in your lifetime, sign-up for a private session and the instructors will tailor a climbing day to your desires and abilities.

Kayenta Kayaking
Enjoy the peace of the outdoors with only the soft splash of paddles to break the silence and spectacular scenery our reservoirs have to offer! Kayaking is a time for you to become one with your surroundings and to really listen, not only to nature, but to learn about and to listen to yourself. It is a time for the kayak and you to become one as you feel the movement and the forward motion of the kayak. The waves glide against the kayak, giving you a gentle nudge and creating the soothing sounds of the water pushing against the shoreline. Listen to the wildlife make their gentle calls to you. This is truly being in the moment. Come and be in the moment before it passes you by!

The Narrows - Zion National Park
The Narrows at Zion National Park is perhaps the most popular and memorable area of this spectacular landmark. Centuries of erosion have sculpted the 1,000-foot walls of the canyon into fluted and whirled forms with zebra-striped mineral deposits.

Just when you think it can't get any better, you hike up to the Temple of Sinawava Trail. Experience another world at the Temple of Sinawava, with its towering canyon walls that climb 2,000 feet straight up on both sides. This summer adventure keeps you cool as you hike through the North Fork of the Virgin River. This is truly an unforgettable adventure!

Terrain: Hiking through rocks & sand in knee-deep water. Be prepared for waist-deep water and some scrambling; expect nearly constant wading.
Difficulty: Moderate to Strenuous
Recommended equipment: Walking stick, hiking boots, comfortable water clothing

Grand Canyon National Park - Rim to Rim top of page
View the Grand Canyon like you have never viewed it before-from the bottom looking up! This is the most incredible hike of a lifetime and it will occur only once in 2002. This two-day hike takes you from the North Rim to Phantom Ranch (at the bottom of the canyon, on the Colorado River). Here you have dinner, enjoy the views, the Colorado River and stay for the night in comfortable cabins. The next morning's hike takes you out of the Canyon to the South Rim. This is by far the best way to enjoy and experience the grandeur that is the Grand Canyon.

Experience a personalized tour of Zion National Park starting with the Imax movie “Treasure of the Gods.” Along the way, visit the Hollywood Movie locations including Grafton Ghost Town where the famous bicycle scene from Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid was filmed. This tour includes historical accounts of the early pioneers, the Blackhawk Indian War, as well as a visit to a pioneer cemetery. Offered weekly.

Bryce Canyon National Park Day Trip
The Southwest offers few views as unique and breathtaking as the Bryce Canyon Amphitheater and its red rock spires, pinnacles and “hoodoos.” Hiking among these wonders makes Bryce Canyon's splendor an experience unequalled by any story or photograph. Queen's Garden Trail, Thor's Hammer and Inspiration Point are some of the visual highlights of this day trip. Offered seasonally.

Grand Canyon National Park - North Rim
See America's most popular park from the less-crowded North Rim. Cool off in the Kiabab's Alpine Meadows as you approach the park and then see and experience the Grand Canyon from the most popular sites. Visit the award-winning lodge for lunch. Offered May-October.

Kanab Area Movie Locations
Visit locations that served as the backdrop for literally hundreds of Hollywood westerns during the 1950's and 1960's. See the actual movie set where Gunsmoke and other favorite T.V. movies were made. Fans of John Wayne and Gary Cooper may recognize some of the spectacular scenery where the biggest names in Hollywood “tamed the West.” Also visit Pipe Springs National Monument. Offered weekly.

Lake Powell Rainbow Bridge - 1 Day tour
Join us on our tour of the most picturesque lake in America's Southwest. The tour includes a 5-hour boat tour of the lake, including magnificent Rainbow Bridge National Monument. This will be a full day that you won't soon forget. Offered weekly.

Full Moon Snowshoeing
