Eating at Holmhead is more like going to a dinner party than staying in a guest house. Food is served family style with beamed, stone arched dining room, furnished with antiques and a large candlelit oak table.

The menu is fixed price, the food always freshly prepared and attractively served, using farm and local produce. The meal consists of a starter, main course, pudding and coffee with mints which can be served in the upstairs lounge if preferred.

Breakfast can include all manner of cereals and fruit and fruit sausages, vegetarian haggis, vegetarian sausages, uorn or soya. We also serve eggs florentine or any way you prefer. Lots of choices of cheeses, muffins, crumpets, scones, teacakes, pancakes, homemade bread, bubble and squeak and a whole lot more!

Well...No Menu! "Because I cook how I feel, no one has ever been disapointed", says Pauline. They use organically grown , tenderly cooked vegetables and hom grown herbs that accompany well thought out ingenious dishes, not to be found in any other vegetarian restaurant.
