Bradford Old Windmill Bed And Breakfast-England
Bradford On Avon-England-Vegetarian Friendly
ROMANTIC BUILDING ROMANTIC SETTING - for romantic people.
Hidden away amongst the trees on the steep hillside above the town is the stump of Bradford's one and only windmill, which still forms a prominent if rather eccentric landmark. The ornate Victorian spiral staircase, pointed Gothic windows in the four storey Cotswold stone tower and the conical stone tiled roof, are features more reminiscent of a folly, but the restored oak sail gallery is a reminder of the building's origins as a windmill.
Inside, the mill is full of interest, with masses of books to browse through, and displayed around the house are unusual finds picked up on our trips to far flung parts of the world.
Curl up on the sofa in the romantically lit circular lounge formerly the grain store, and enjoy a crackling log fire on cold winter nights. Apart from the log fires the mill is strictly smoke free, but we don't ban addicts from the pretty cottage garden with its wide ranging views of Bradford.
Open from March until December
