and all our rooms are different, indeed DISTINCTLY DIFFERENT.

Try our Queen sized waterbed along with its whirlpool bath in the conical roofed DAMSEL room. Arrive in the evening to find the sun streaming in the windows (hopefully!) and wake up in the morning to views of the trees along the drive. His 'n' hers TV's for those who can't agree on channels but want to sleep in the same bed.

The less athletic may prefer a round bed sized for a King in the circular GREAT SPUR room. Photographed above sporting sexy satin sheets available as part of one of our "celebration specials" - the perfect way to mark life's emotional highs - proposals, honeymoons, anniversaries, a new mistress or perhaps to seal the divorce which follows! The room takes up the whole of the grinding floor in the old mill tower, making this the perfect room for honeymooners now that the two pairs of millstones no longer cramp your style. This is a large 19ft diameter room with a spectacular outlook through tiny paired gothic windows set into the massive stone walls of the tower.

FANTAIL suite is self contained with separate bedroom, sitting room and bathroom. The Suite is ideal for those who don't believe in travelling light and want to spread themselves and their belongs liberally around. The bedroom has a Gothic iron bed and a collection of spectacularly suggestive lighthouse photographs. Both bedroom and sitting room have pretty pointed windows to frame the stunning views beyond Bradford to the Westbury White Horse and Salisbury Plain.

FANTAIL can also be a really exciting family room for children - especially those between 6 & 12yrs old. They sleep in the bedroom, but up on a gallery at ceiling height (accessed by a substantial ladder and protected by wooden railings), toe to toe in a curtained cabin bed up under the roof. It is a small private area with children's books, cuddly toys etc. for them to enjoy and a view down to the town several hundred feet below. You can put them to bed in the bedroom and sit in your sitting room watching TV - or not.

Bradford on Avon is laid out beneath you waiting to be explored

An elegant and remarkably unspoilt woollen town who reveals her charms coyly.

There are tantalizing glimpses of secret courtyards and overflowing gardens viewed from the narrow alleyways and paths which stagger up the steep slope between tiny weavers cottages and substantial clothiers mansions. Everywhere the sight and sound of running water bursting from springs high up on the hill, delight the senses.

The verdant Avon valley and the Kennet and Avon Canal bring a touch of green to the heart of the town and country to indulge their passions.

We are not easy to discover, being well off the road at the end of a private unsigned drive which means when you do eventually find us you can be sure of a quiet stay free from people and traffic pollution, though we do have some very noisy birds!

Policies

Deposit: First nights accommodation cost in full sterling.
Credit Cards:Can be used but we pass on all costs at 5% MasterCard and Visa only.

Cancelation: Once confirmed with deposit or Credit Card we will charge adminstration fee of 5 pounds per room if able to resell the room at the same price. If unable to do so it weill be charged at room rate less 30 pounds.
