Bradford Old Windmill Sample Vegetarian Menu
FOR ADVENTUROUS TASTES ONLY Bradford on Avon can offer food to suit most palates, from nouvelle cuisine country house hotel cooking to a simple take away with plenty of choice in between.
With sufficient notice and a little arm twisting we can provide anything from an individual soup tray to an ethnic feast (depending on the size of party):-vegetarian adaptations of recipes collected from our favourite parts of the world; MEXICAN, THAI, NEPALESE, GAMBIAN, JAMAICAN and many others. Please note the cook/proprietress can be temperamental and does have her off nights - sorry, nights off!
Breakfast, like dinner, is a friendly, leisurely, communal affair around a refectory table dominated by a set of grain weighing scales, or al fresco on the terrace on balmy days overlooking the town and countryside beyond. At breakfast we cater for most tastes - carnivores, omnivores, vegetarians, vegans, healthy and unhealthy eaters.
SAMPLE BREAKFAST MENU
Fruit juice/homemade muesli, granola & hi-fibre cereals/ packet cereals/fresh fruit/homemade yoghurt. Continental- Pair au chocolat, homemade rye toast, croissant and a bagel OR Passionate Pancakes Staffordshire oatcakes with yoghurt and passion fruit topped with maple syrup.
OR HealthyHome squeezed orange juice. Poached free-range eggs on a muffiin with tomato and coriander
OR Horribly HealthyDevilled mushrooms on a muffin with tomato(using soya milk for vegans on request).
OR Eggs with a difference Scrambled goose or duck eggs,on a muffin with tomato. Only available during the laying season!
OR American hash browns, free range fried egg, grilled tomato and a home-made 'short stack' with cranberry sauce.
Filtered decaffeinated or Kenya coffee. Assam or variuos teas. Home-made preserves and healthy alternatives with white or home-made wholemeal toast and butter or vegan spread.
