Trip Highlights
Death Valley and the rest of the Mojave are national treasures, frequently too hot to visit during the traditional vacation months. This affordable Las Vegas based trip is a great off season getaway that runs from Monday morning to Friday afternoon/evening. Parks visited include: Death Valley NP, Red Rocks NCA, Mojave Nat'l Preserve, Mitchell Caverns SP and Joshua Tree NP.

This trip may feature our AdventureVan, a smaller vehicle with individual bucket seats. The accommodations will be tent camping. Tents and sleeping pads will be provided.

Itinerary
Day 1
Depart Las Vegas 9am...
We start this fantastic trip by picking up you and your fellow Adventurers in Las Vegas. We'll prep you for your adventure and then enjoy a comfortable journey to Red Rocks National Conservation Area, a series of sandstone canyons that beckon hikers and scramblers to their sunwarmed walls while much of the rest of the nation is buried in snow. After a fun afternoon in the park, we'll have a sunset dinner, board the van and head out to Death Valley NP and make camp for the evening.

Day 2
Death Valley National Park
Awaken to the smell of fresh coffee and a hot breakfast before we begin our tour of the largest National Park in the lower 48. With temperatures routinely in the triple digits between spring and autumn equinoxes, winter and early spring is the time to visit this starkly beautiful place. We'll visit such attractions as Badwater Basin, the lowest spot in the U.S., at 282 below sea level. We'll work our way south to our next campsite, Tecopa Hot Springs.

Day 3
Mojave National Preserve
We'll depart the springs after breakfast and enter the preserve near Devil's Playground. Here are some amazing vistas and some off the tallest dunes in the states. After some play time and a delicious lunch, we'll go on a tour of Mitchell Caverns, one the natural gems in the crown of the Mojave. Then we'll head on down to camp on the north side of J-Tree!

Day 4
Joshua Tree National National Park
We'll enter the climbing Mecca of Indian Cove and hike/scramble part of the aptly named Wonderland of Rocks trail. If you love technical hiking, this is a hike you'll never forget. Later that afternoon, we'll go through the park visiting such legendary climbing spots as Intersection Rock and Jumbo Rocks. After Dinner we'll cut back east and make camp on the Colorado river.

Day 5
After breaking camp, we'll visit the remarkably well preserved ghost town of Oatman, Az. and relive a bit of Western history. Then we'll take scenic route 93 to Hoover Dam, the final attraction on our tour. We'll have you back to Vegas by dinner time!
