About Our Sleeper Coaches
Our converted sleeper coaches feature comfortable handmade interiors designed for hassle-free travel. The booths and couches we lounge on during the day easily convert into beds at night. The bunks which hang from the ceiling are always available for a nap. Personal reading lights and volume controls for our sound system are strategically located throughout the bus. The casual environment on our buses is a unique and unparalleled experience.
About Our Food
At Green Tortoise Adventure Travel, food is a matter of high pride and priority. Everyone shares in the cooking and clean-up, which is coordinated by the two drivers. We enjoy mostly gourmet vegeterian cuisine, prepared from the best and freshest available ingredients, including dairy products and sometimes fresh seafood.
The food fund everyone pays (see individual trips for amount) covers about 70% of all breakfasts and dinners. We stop at restaurants and markets too. You will be responsible for your food beyond that 70%, and if you have special dietary needs you may separate portions of any meal during its preparation.
