Thanks for your visit!

Once upon a time, when I was, oh, about ten, I went to Madrid to visit my step-mom’s family. After de-boarding, going through customs, greeting the family etc, we were standing in the Madrid airport parking lot loading our luggage into the car, when I recall having a powerfully distinct “Toto, we’re not in Kansas, anymore,” sensation.

The family holiday visit would prove to be a big and memorable experience for the little ten year-old-girl from Salt Lake. The strange food, the foreign language, the different style of dress, the etiquette…

You might say the Rain in Spain really sparked something within.

And, now, amigos, two decades and change later, I seek to share that spark with you, so to speak, whether it be virtually (an e-spark?), or while dancing tango in Buenos Aires…
