This program is an opportunity to participate in efforts to preserve the roles of Thai Elephants and their mahouts. This hands-on 10 day program incorporates the Home Stay Program with the opportunity to participate in TECC research programs.

Day 1 Departure from Home City:

Day 3 Bangkok:
Arrive Bangkok and transfer to the hotel. Overnight Bangkok
Day 4 Lampang:
Morning free. Afternoon flight to Lampang. Welcome dinner and orientation Yonok University and TECC staff. (B,D)
Day 5 TECC:
Morning transfer to TECC. Spend the day getting orientated to TECC and research projects. (B,L,D)

Day 6 TECC:
Early morning walk to the forest to bring the elephants in. Spend the rest of the day working on research projects and elephant care. (B,L,D)
Day 7 TECC:
Early morning walk to the forest to bring the elephants in. Spend the rest of the day working on research projects and elephant care. (B,L,D)

Early morning walk to the forest to bring the elephants in. Spend the rest of the day working on research projects and elephant care. (B,L,D)
Day 9 Chiang Mai:
Finish up our activites at TECC and submit our research projects. Transfer to Chiang Mai for overnight. (B,L)

Depart for home or begin another "Asian Passage." (B)

Excluded: Visa processing, drinks, personal expenses, optional tours, airport departure taxes, video and camera fees where applicable, gratuities, excess baggage.
Insurance: Emergency medical evacuation/repatriation coverage for all trip participants is provided through International SOS Assistance, Inc. Participants are strongly encouraged to additionally purchase personal health and trip cancellation insurance.
