ABOUT OUR ROOMS
One of our private cottages will be your private retreat for the week. NO TWO ARE EXACTLY ALIKE! Their location, orientation, architecture, and enchanting collections of museum-quality folk art and bright fabrics make each quite unique.
All of our accommodations are on ground level opening directly to adjacent gardens and patios. No automobiles have access to the grounds (your luggage is delivered and picked up by hand-cart or bicycle). Walking here is a delight, our founders Edmond and Deborah Szekely designed the Ranch specifically to reward walkers with both exercise and beauty.
Please plan ahead as far as possible. Our requirement of a one-week stay fosters the personal fitness and group camaraderie we're famous for! Although these Saturday-to-Saturday weeks are usually booked to capacity, rather than expand beyond our traditional 160-guests-per-week, we choose to continually improve programs, services and facilities.
RANCHERAS
Studio bedroom and bath. Most units are configured with two double beds and accommodate one or two persons. Nine of our rancheras clustered around a flower-encircled patio have been set aside for the exclusive use of women traveling alone.
HACIENDAS
Studio bedroom, bath, kitchenette, separate sitting area, and fireplace or wood-burning stove. Most units are configured with two double beds. This category of room may be booked by one or two persons.
VILLA STUDIOS
Bedroom area, living room, kitchenette, bath and fireplace. Units are configured with either two or three beds.
VILLA SUITES
Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, kitchenette and fireplace. Units are configured with either one large bed and two single beds -or- four single beds. Accommodates two, three, or four persons.
Villa Studio and Villa Suite guests enjoy a continental breakfast served by the pool in summer and in their rooms in winter. In-room massages are available in the Villa's only, for an additional fee.
Rates include all classes, meals, special programs and use of facilities. Mexican IVA tax will be added to all room rates and personal service fees. Rates and tax are subject to change. All charges are per-person in US dollars. VISA, MasterCard and personal checks are accepted. Most rooms have kitchenettes for an early morning cup of coffee or a late night cup of herbal tea; all have refrigerators, hair dryers and alarm clocks. Rancho La Puerta is a non-smoking facility.
A deposit of $250 per person, per week is required. Payment in U.S. funds by personal check, VISA or MasterCard.
The full balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.
Cancellation Fee Waivers: If you must cancel, a Cancellation Fee Waiver guarantees the return of all monies on account with notice by 4:00pm Pacific Time, the Friday prior to arrival. Waivers are $29 per person, per week and non-refundable and non-transferrable to other guests or other dates. They may be purchased up to 30 days prior to arrival and must coincide with the initial payment.
Cancellation Policy: With notice more than 30 days prior to arrival date, a refund less $50 per person, per week.
Cancellation/Date Change Policy: With notice 30 days or less prior to arrival date, a refund, less $500 per person, per week. Notice of cancellation must be received by the Reservations Office by 4:00pm Pacific Time on the Friday before arrival.
Sorry, no refunds or adjustments are extended to those who arrive late or leave early.
