Tramuntana to the Med - a Family Holiday in Mallorca
Join us on adventure traversing the mighty Tramuntana Mountains by train, tram and on foot, before reaching the glittering seas of the Mediterranean which we explore in kayaks and by boat. Along the way we'll experience the warmth of the Mallorquin people, enjoy sumptuous local delicacies and get the chance to wake up in a monastery high amongst this beautiful island's craggy peaks.

ISLAND TRAVERSE
Arriving in Palma, we explore the narrow alleys and bustling streets of this cosmopolitan city before boarding the historic train for a thrilling ride on a narrow gauge railway that climbs and winds its way across the island to Soller. From here we take a tram for the final leg of our journey towards the sparkling blue seas below. Taking a boat along the coast, we discover secluded bays, some accessible only by walking through rock-cut tunnels, and enjoy swimming in the warm clear waters of the Mediterranean.

MOUNTAINS & MONASTERIES
From Puerto Soller we travel back up into the mountains, to the picturesque Lluc Monastery, nestled amongst the contrasting landscape of grey limestone summits and blue lakes, and our base for the next two nights. Here we are free to explore to our heart's content, the monastery, its grounds, the mountains and lakes. We can also enjoy a swim in the natural freshwater pool at Es Guix and our day is rounded off with an evening barbeque back at the monastery as the sun sets behind the now flame-red peaks of the Tramuntana.

KAYAKING THE MED
The road from Lluc descends to the northern coast of the island with its sandy bays and rugged cliffs. One of the highlights of our stay here we will be a kayaking excursion in the Bay of Pollensa. In the hands of expert guides, no experience is necessary to master what offers us the best chance of discovering close-up hidden coves and seeing colourful fish. The rest of our time here is free to relax and swim or you may wish to take some trips to explore further afield and discover more of what this magical island has to offer.
